November is Fall Prevention Month

Did you know? Unintentional falls are the leading cause of injury for Mississauga Halton LHIN resident, age 65+?

As an initiative, throughout November we have coordinated our efforts with resources available from the Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation and our partners aiming for a large impact.

Join Us!

  • Plan events
  • Share evidence-based information
  • Follow us on twitter @MH_LHIN
  • Tweet or re-tweet using the #PreventFalls2018

By spreading the word, we can have a greater impact in our community, right down to our own families, friends and neighbours. Together we can make a difference to prevent falls.

Please use these resources and links to share with friends, family and patients.

There are also many other resources available on the Fall Prevention Month website, including a toolkit containing sample activities and ideas to help you participate in fall prevention initiatives.

It takes a community to prevent a fall.
We all have a role to play!
