Community Accountability Planning Submissions (CAPS) and Multi-Sector Service Accountability Agreements (MSAA)

The Local Health System Integration Act, 2006 (LHSIA) requires that the Local Health Integration Networks (LHIN) have a service accountability agreement in place with each health service provider (HSP) it funds. The Mississauga Halton LHIN and community-based HSPs entered into Multi-Sector Service Accountability (MSAA) agreements for a three-year period effective April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2017. The agreement was extended last year for one year to March 31, 2018.

This year, given the current period of transition and ongoing implementation of the Patients First Act, 2016 across the province, there was pan-LHIN agreement to minimize changes to the MSAA. As such, a one-year extension to the current 2014-2018 MSAA will be issued to HSPs with a new expiry date of March 31, 2019.

In order to retain the integrity of the existing MSAAs and 2018/19 Schedules, which are both LHIN Board and HSP Board approved, the Mississauga Halton LHIN will require the CAPS to be updated only if an HSP received new funding during 2018/19 or received approval for service changes.

Further updates and additional documents for the 2018/19 MSAA process will be posted as they become available.
